A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

Hypermancer is a fully 3D NSFW adventure made in Unreal Engine 5 that focuses on hyper bara and muscle growth.

Use the Growth Beam on Rev and see what happens next~

Game Description

If I were to describe the gameplay in one sentence, I'd say it's like if Cult of the Lamb had a love child with Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Grow Rev, grant him Essence and explore the planet below for even more substantial upgrades.

It's still very early in development, but just like my other game, I will keep iterating and releasing new versions every month until it's entirely done.

New versions are released one month in advance on Patreon. Really appreciate the support <3

everything invisible dose anyone know how to fix it

I'm going to be a broken record mais l'appli ne faire pas avec un keyboard AZERTY. It has the correct names but the keys are still the equivalent of awsd even after changing them manually

I love this and would really love to see more customization as to how Rev grows (i.e. what grows most and how fast). I know this is in rather early development, I def have a few things that I'd love to see (that are likely already planed).

I'd love to see more accurate animations, and less clipping, like ducking under doorways. and I'd love to be able to play ;3 with Rev, speaking of which I'd love to see more interactability with Rev, like more dialogue options and stuff like being able to feel him up.

on a matter of personal opinion I'd love to be able to make Rev fat too, but that's just me (but it'd def be hot)

LOVE the concept and i think its werry hot :D. id love to see Rev getting even bigger and hoter.
i have a fev ideas you could add: customisation (change his collor, his muscle percentage, make him a futa, change what part of him grows...), bigger rooms to unlock, character upgrades...
but overall i ADORE this game, keep up the good work! :)

I wonder if this'll have Urethral like DOC in the future.

There seems to be some sort of fighting when you pick up cores, almost as if we had 2 models at the same time. Is that supposed to happen?

Just did a test for Hypermancer. Great game and amazing graphics both from low settings to max out settings. I do wish there was a section from loading menu or from start up on what you need to do or a simple control layout. I was running around not sure what to do at first only to find out I got a hand beam when holding right click and then using left click to shoot out the beam.

I do want to note that this game is extremely intense on GPU Usage (GPU Bound Game)

RIG: 64GB DDR5

i9-14900K

RTX 3090 TI

2x2TB NVME

Hitting around 120+ FPS at 1080P with low settings.

the game won't stop crashing on start after i tried to lower the quality to increase performance, already deleted and downloaded it again

i had the same problem and after long googling found a solution.

first you want to add the game to your steam library-> go to you steam library and click "Add a Game" in the bottom left corner and select the games .exe file. then you right click the game and hit Properties... and under LAUNCH OPTIONS type in "-dx11

that way steam forces to open the game with better performance

this worked! thanks!

The game is alright so far, but man is a taxing on my rig And that's saying something considering I have a 4070 Super with 32 gigabytes of DDR5 RAM. (Probably due to the fact that it's in Unreal 5)

Also there are some system settings that don't work, like sound settings, Shadow quality, etc.

I will admit the demo is kind of short though, but that's to be expected. I will keep this on Watch when there's more content. And hopefully better optimization.

But yeah, this game is hot as hell.

Should be a lot more stable in 0.0.7, it has big optimizations and fixes.

Well, in that case I'll just wait until 0.7 releases for free.

I'm really enjoying the additions in version 0.0.6, but every time I try to go outside to collect the cores, the game crashes, just says "fatal error" and closes.

Should be a lot more stable in 0.0.7, it has big optimizations and fixes.

will sprinting be added? the character feels kinda  slow.

It's in the game already. Check Control/Key Bindings settings. As of v0.0.5, default is holding Shift or L button (if you're using gamepad) while moving. Slime approach interrupts it so after that you'll need to press and hold sprint again.

(+2)

will there be an update where theres a very skinny char and you have to grow them? would really like that... also fat to fit to muscular would be fun.

I'm planning to have Rev start with a typical humanoid body mass in the future.

Just making sure Rev doesn't get all the growth fun...

Nice~

android version maybe?

hey uh i'm not able to open the game it keeps saying that there's a write error in the file

This game's concept is exciting indeed, idea of a MC growbeaming others to progress is great, especially time limit and debuffs instead of HP/MP I usually see. There're something I want to say:

- I found out that slimes in this version do rarely (close to none) spawn in the middle of exploration. Adding mid-exploration spawns would be good for the game's difficulty and make use of time shards exploration. For now, heavy run like 40~50 time shards in stock is enough for experienced play and extras would be wasted. (like some per 5 minutes, or area switch dungeon-island triggers)

- Sometimes, slimes spawn in places that they might be unable to detect player or moving freely (like one on the top of the dungeons on the hill, and some from the underwater side at the stream bed - the slope is too stiff for them to even climb in small form, and usually fell into the deep void sea if they're grown enough).

In the bright side, since Planetfall island is starter area, and the number of slimes is not affected much, this is fine. The dungeons, expansion and new area would be more than enough to fully explore at an extent.

Anyways, keep up the good work!

i actually recomend starting the creature off smaller maybe twink size and letting him grow even bigger over the course of the game

(+2)

I agree!

Just gotta build more foundational stuff first.

(+1)

Looks interesting. In the future will there be a version available to run on Linux natively?

(+1)

dunno if it's been caught yet, but there's a bug where if you manage to kill a slime *just* as it hits you you get stuck with it constantly acting as if it's draining your time, and it doesn't stop

Looking into it for 0.0.7 👍

oh and if you get to close to a wall this happens

(1 edit)

Using controller helps you to get around the slime when circling around them but the scariest part is when the slime go super sonic speed towards you or if they miss when trying to jump n you when they are behind you they fly into the atmosphere/ across the map, But this is a good game.

(+1)

Played for about an hour so far after finally figuring out how to gather essence (Thanks Sombreve!) but now the slimes are bugging the crap out of me. I've had multiples of them creep up behind me and suck out the time without me even noticing. Like, I physically cannot react to the slime fast enough, much less see it coming. Could you PLEASE give the slimes some sort of sound effect or maybe like a homing map where you can see their location? I gathered enough time shards for like a 5m run and it was gone in a matter of seconds because a group of 3 slimes ganged up on me.

Additionally, gathering cores or being attacked by a slime cancels out the run on the shift key and it must be re-pressed to re-enable running.

Lastly, (for now) the reticle doesn't exactly line up with where you expect it to and the range on the laser is deceptively short. I have to get VERY close to the slimes to actually make them pop and by the time I get close enough to actually attack them they come flying at me and then I'm stuck/dead within seconds. Like, I know I'm not an FPS player so this is hard for me anyways, but I almost rage quit because I legitimately could not even gather the cores from the slimes at first. And yes, I'm on easy mode for what that's worth.

I am VERY excited to see where this game goes from here but I'm going to wait to come back to it until several more updates have occurred or I'll end up bald from pulling all my hair out in frustration.

(+1)

I know its very early days, but it would be great if you could add accessibility settings in future - the camera bob gave me motion sickness real fast, being able to turn that off would be great.

Oh damn, I'll look into it asap.

Plz make this on android

does the game ends when u give the 8 cores' i am confused

Currently yeah, gonna keep adding content every month.

let me know if you want another 3D artist on the team or technical developer for solving development problems.

How do i gain Core? I figured the time shards and essence, but not core.

(+1)

take the exit door and use the beam on slimes.

(1 edit) (+3)(-1)

Is there a sandbox mode? Or a faster way of getting essence?

Game isn't that deep yet that you can't get to all the content in about an hour tops

changing keybinds doesn't work on azerty

(+2)

Oh damn, I'll keep a note about that.

Fun concept. I didn't have a mouse so I went and got a controller. Need a way to change sprint because it's set to holding down left stick and outside dodging slimes and making any distance made things VERY painful on my thumb. Also sprinting when big feels slow not sure if thats on purpose or if the speed is the same sprint speed and just feels slow when bigger but... felt slow.

I would also love ways to interact with the creature. the screenshots show dialogue but if I have a way to do that I never saw it, adn I got him to the max level

Dialogue is coming soon in the next release.

I'm not sure if I've missed something or if there's an issue - I seem to be locked in a space-age room with the creature. I have 3 interactive points, two of which convert essence into time shards and one which requires time shards. How do I get essence? I'm completely lost.

(+1)

Holding right-click lets you aim, then left-click fires your growth beam.

You can use the beam on the creature to gather Essence.

The Save/Load is broken to quite an extent. I attempted to start a new game to see if there was any dialogue I had missed (since captions was defaulted to being off), and every time I attempted a new save, it put me right back where I had been before with him already empowered several stages instead of back to level 1. Good game otherwise, though, even if I took a bit to figure out what to do to start, heh.

(+3)

Awesome prototype! Personally i think the growth will have to be slowed a bit but I can understand playing with the limits for prototyping purposes. Also if I could say adjusting the characters movement speed as they grow would make movement much less frustrating (it kinda feels like those dreams where you can't move so it might turn off some players). Maybe movement can increase on like a negative slope where the bigger you are the more your size impedes you, while still accounting for the bigger gait. Beyond that this looks super fun!

(+2)

That's a great start! I would also love an "Hyper-Pedia" that you can see the protagonist/Rev/slimes/etc, 360 around! And please put an option for graphics to be adapted to potato PC... only 8GB of GPU can't handle the beauty of growth of this game...

After some time playing it (0.0.5), I have some thoughts for this rough cut:

Essence and Cores: Should have more than one way to get them, for sure. If you can carry them, you can find them or obtain them. Tasks, quests, barter, etc.

Time shards: I'm okay with this mechanic provided there's a serious reason that consistently gets applied. Again: if they can be gained, they can be exchanged or earned in various ways.

Bigness and Smallness: These both have to have serious meaning, otherwise the whole setting is a glorified Clicker Game. That your friend there starts as huge to begin with is kind of a false start. What is drawing people to be so huge, and how does entropy work in that situation?

We're the MC, so we should have agency and ambitions, too: We should feel weak, small, and want to grow, as well. Or, perhaps there are other ways to realize whatever ambitions we could have as the player. Anyways, can't say I'm in love with the model, but keeping cores for myself would be nice.

Font (personal peeve): Change the GUI font as fast as possible!

Growth animations and mechanics: A little opaque right now, but if there are sectional responses to the beam - our subject, whoever it is, should be able to stand still so we can aim. The wobbling effect should be a bit more subtle, but it's a good indicator of activity.

World: The pop-in on the flora is dramatic. As well, while it's a small time loss - preventing the clock from starting until the scene is loaded and we can orient ourselves in the game world would be nice.

Finally: .....would love some equal opportunity stuff, maybe if you have someone on the team if it's not your thing.

Sombreve as always bless you for putting out this type of stuff <3

Good start so far! My recommendation is to hire more people for your project!

(+1)

could you please put the linux tag on the file is well because the steamdeck and/or linux can play windows games via steam/proton and/or vine

whats there was awesome. im looking forward to how this game grows

Next time you upload this, could you maybe add a seperate shortcut for dx11 mode? I tested it and it works just fine with lower quality hardware if you launch it with that command. I think you can do it with a shortcut but I couldn't figure it out so I used steam's "Launch options" for the exe instead and put the command there.

Great idea, I'll look into it.

Okay, so I looked it up on google and it is way simpler than I thought it was, anyone can do this really. First you make a shortcut of the EXE, then you go to it's properties and in the "Target" field you add a space at the end and then add "-dx11". That's it!
